“Milk is for babies, when you grow up you have to drink beer” – Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Yes that’s right. Finally we have managed to get Lennon off a bed time bottle. He is a huge milk lover so it’s not been easy. But he wasn’t really drinking the milk anymore, just holding the bottle as a comfort.
I managed to get hold of a super cute milk cup for him to still have milk, hot chocolate or milkshakes in which he is obsessed with. Only £2.49 in Aldi, thank you very much. It comes with a straw which you can also lift up and down to mix whatever is in the cup. Amazing right! Only annoying this is it’s not dishwasher proof. But it’s easy enough to clean especially as it’s a straw.
I still want him to have as much milk as he was before, just before he goes to bed or in the mornings. Sometimes he asks for a milkshake or a ‘cuppa’ in the day, which is when I normally give him a hot chocolate. The next thing I want to try and get rid of is the dummy and hopefully potty training at night soon.
I haven’t managed to throw away his bottles yet, purly because I’ve been so busy recently and super distracted. But… He hasn’t even asked for one since I told him he only has milk in his new cup now not his bottle. I feel like throwing his bottles away is such a big thing. Like he has had some of those since he was born, I may keep one or two. Has anyone else done that? If I was to have another baby I would buy a new set so that’s not the case, it’s just memories. I can’t throw them all. May be silly but oh well HAHA.
This was a super quick post as an update as a few people have been asking about a few things related to him getting older. I will be doing a few little updates like this over the next coming months. I still need to write my potty training blog, so sorry, whoops.
